Guttering & Drainage – Phases 1, 2 & 3

Phase 1: Replacement of gulley drainage on our old stable building, by strengthening the supports for the existing guttering and lining the existing galvanised guttering with glass reinforced plastic (GRP) sheets and resin. We have a builder and a specialist GRP subcontractor for this phase of the work, and an estimated cost of £15k + VAT.

Phase 2: involves making-up brackets to hold new plastic guttering on the rear of our old stable building, including downpipes and plastic water collections tanks (so the rainwater can be used), and a ground pipe to take excess rainwater away to a site roadway. We have a provisional estimate of £6k + VAT for this phase.

Phase 3: Phase 3 involves blocking the existing internal downpipes (which leak badly), fitting new external downpipes to the guttering at the front of the buildings, and ducting the rainwater away in a ground pipe cut into the concrete surface in front of the buildings. We do not yet have a cost estimate for Phase 3.
