Gwaith Powdwr Nature Reserve

Gwaith Powdwr is a 24-hectare North Wales Wildlife Trust (NWWT) nature reserve on the edge of the community of Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd.This project will fund an intensive period of community events and site development at Gwaith Powdwr Nature Reserve, Penrhyndeudraeth (http://www.northwaleswildlifetrust.org.uk/reserves/gwaith-powdwr). Central to the project would be a weekly volunteering opportunities, to which all members of the community would be invited, and a large-scale celebratory event held in mid-summer. Lasting improvements to the site would include path & fencing repairs; improved interpretation for visitors (e.g. display panels, artworks); a new outdoor learning area for visiting schoolchildren, and the directly improved wildlife habitat necessary for visitors to continue to enjoy the uniqueness of the site.
