Gwent WildlifeTrust

The project, People and Wildlife is a part of the multi-million pound regeneration project of the former steelworks site in Ebbw Vale. The project aims to empower communities and increase their capacity for environmental action by involving them in conversation activity. It seeks to do this by encouraging local people to develop local green spaces, understand and enjoy local wildlife and become actively involved in conservation work. This will be achieved via programmes of community engagement, learning and training, outreach work with disadvantaged groups, and promotion of existing wildlife areas.
