Habitat Improvements at Haydn’s Pool

The purpose of this project is to modify the habitat on the pool’s 2 islands to make it more suitable for breeding waders and to discourage Canada Geese which are listed by DEFRA as a pest species. The habitat modifications will include vegetation clearance and importation of shingle and sand to create a shingle beach. The target species for this project are the following BAP species: Little Ringed Plover, Redshank, Oystercatcher and Lapwing.
