Habitat Management; Bingham Linear Park

The flora and fauna are due to its history as a railway. The railway closed in the 1960s since that time there has been scrub and woodland encroachment. The site is now a local nature reserve and is managed by a voluntary group with support from the town council. This project is about managing the scrub and grassland along the more highly valued sections to preserve habitats for existing species, and possible increase habitat for rare invertebrates
