Hadfast Valley – Public Access Improvements

The project will involve the removal and replacement of 40 steps using treated timber and type 1 gravel. Ladder style steps will be used over steep parts and bed rock. Sections of a wall that is crumbling will be repointed and the top of the wall will be capped with cement mix to avoid further damage. An area of scrub will be coppiced in order to enhance the habitat for breeding birds, and an existing fence will be patched and repaired where broken.
