Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Access Improvements

The project aims to improve physical and intellectual access along the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail and wider Hadrian’s Wall Heritage Site within Carlisle and North Cumbria. This will involve a number of individual projects along the National Trail, including surface improvements, vegetation management and access control. Interpretation/orientation boards will be installed in a number of communities along the trail and at the World Heritage Site to imrove understanding of the Wall and wider cultural and natural heritage of the area and the local community identification of that heritage.
