Hailes Quarry Park – Environmental Improvements through Volunteering

We will be working at Hailes Quarry Park, a former quarry/landfill site to improve the environment, working with volunteers. Work to include:
• Entrance improvements: clear a section of ground to create an open entrance, install a section of path and prepare an area of wildflower meadow
• Woodland thinning & creation – plus planting more trees in the park to extend existing areas of woodland and improve the quality and variety of trees Bulb & wildflower planting – improve biodiversity through bulb planting wildflower plug and meadow establishment.
• Creation of additional features – eg seating, picnic tables, birdboxes
