Hailes Quarry Park Learning Discovery Area

Creation of a Learning Discovery Area within a clearing in the park’s woodland, marked by low circular mounding with planting to demarcate the space. Seating will be made of stone and positioned in a circle, with tree clearance to create informal paths through the site, giving a feeling of adventure. The space will provide an opportunity for children to experience nature in an informal and inspiring setting. It will encourage young people to use the park in a positive way, not just through school activities, giving them confidence to explore woodland areas, encouraging outdoor play and activities.
