Halton Village Millennium Green, Runcorn – Improvements (50269/D)

This project is part of our ongoing programme of work to continue to maintain and improve the Green remove large weeds from the orchard, fruit bush and hedge areas; prepare ground and treat with bark chippings. Removing an ugly path (to be re-used as hard standing) and to establish two paths to match the existing ones. Refurbishing existing paths. Replacing an old entrance sign. Installing two information boards. Installing two picnic tables (one covered). Building and installing a ramp to the container. Engaging a specialist to treat the roof of the container. Buying protection for our existing fruit trees. Purchasing perennial plants for our Wildflower Meadow.

The Trust award will contribute towards the village green improvements.
