Hammerwood & Holtye St Stephen’s Church Improvements

To conserve the building and to save energy, Celotex insulation panels will be fitted inside the rafters to the south pitched roof.
Improvements will also be made to make the church more usable by the community with cupboards, tea and coffee making area and space for use by children. The font will be moved to open up part of the space for more flexible use. To improve accessibility and usage it is also proposed to construct a small single storey extension on the south side of the church to provide disabled access and toilet with cesspit drainage. The south aisle where most of the work is to take place will be redecorated.
