To remove the existing ramp access which is deteriorating and the gradient of which is too steep for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficultiies. The stone paved surface is breaking up and can also become slippery when wet. The group aims to build a new access which incorporates a ramp of an appropriate gradient on one side and steps on the other in accordance with current legislation. This is also in line with a disability access report that was drawn up some time ago.
