Hamwell Leaze

The project will improve anurban greenspace within a densely populated area within the Stroud district. It will create new wildflower meadow, increasing the number of insects and birds. The site link to the River Frome, where there are otters, and we will carry out improvements to the brook to increase the area where otters can forage.

The project will work with local people to ensure ownership and sustainability for the site for the long term.

It will create wildlife corridors and link sites together through a series of pathways, waterways and greenspaces that will also provide access to the open countryside and woodlands.

It will create a new footpath network offering circular and linear routes plus graded healthy walking.
