Hardwick Street Community Growing Project

The project will provide an outdoor and indoor “classroom” for local residents, people with special needs and interest groups, to become involved in physical activity linked to horticultural activity. Based in the village of Langwith in northern Derbyshire, the project will utilise an existing disused Allotment site as the means of involving local people in growing and distributing fruit and vegetables.
It will provide volunteering opportunities, accredited training and community cohesion, targeting the most vulnerable people from one of the most deprived communities in the Country.
