Haresfield Moated Site Restoration Project

Restoration of badger damaged Scheduled Monument (No.1020655) known as The Mount Moated site. This medieval earthwork monument, located approximately 5 miles to the south west of Gloucester, has suffered from extensive badger damage for a number of decades. Due to this the site is listed as being at High Risk on the national Heritage at Risk register. The project involves excluding the badgers under license, restoring and re-profiling the damaged areas, and re-flooding the moat.
