Harpenden Town Council Parish Path Improvements

To perform urgent repairs that are required to the footpath in order to ensure easier access for users, prevent risk of injury and improve the aesthetics of parish path 24 to the benefit of the Nature Reserve through which the path runs. Footpath 24 is the main footpath running through Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve and has reached a state of disrepair, with an undulating surface, cracks along the centre and edges and potholes. The path is therefore unattractive and presents a hazard to members of the public using it, paticularly wheelchair and pushchair users. The nature reserve is a popular local site where local people visit the springs and enjoy a walk along the river, and families visit to use the play area and to picnic.
