Harthill Village Hall, Harthill - Refurbishment and Energy Efficiency Upgrade (5741/D)

The project is the refurbishment and general upgrading of Harthill Village Hall, a former Miners' Welfare building dating back to 1920. The hall is currently in a poor condition and is in need of some remedial work to the roof, external brickwork and windows. Interior repairs to the ceiling and flooring are also needed. The hall also requires an upgrade of its kitchen, and general decoration throughout. Another major need is to improve energy efficiency and ensure compliance with current legislation. It is therefore intended to replace existing heating, lighting and electrical systems, reducing both carbon emissions and running costs. Installation of insulation is integral to this. Access, both internal and external, will be upgraded, as will toilet facilities for the disabled and baby changing facilities.
