Hartleyburn Community Centre Facility Improvements

The Hartleyburn Community centre is council owned but wholly operated by volunteers, it is well used by the local community with a wide range of groups and activities taking place on the site.The building was constructed in the 1950’s, some elements such as kitchens and windows have been upgraded since then but the main toilets are essentially as they were when the building was constructed. These are not fit for purpose by modern standards, they are not fully accessible, or have any provision for baby changing.The project is to completely refurbish the toilets, bringing them up to current expected standards, installing new sanitary ware and cubicles, fitting more hygienic wall and floor coverings, and installing baby changing benches.
