Haslam Park LNR wildlife improvements

The wildlife trust is working in partnership with Preston City Council and the Friends of Haslam Park to improve the wildlife value of Haslam Park and the proposed Local Nature Reserve. Currently the site is designated as a local wildlife site but there are a number of areas where the wildlife value can be improved. Work will help to develop a network of volunteers and raise awareness of this site to encourage local people to use and respect the value of their local open space. The programme of works will help implement this. The project will: Support the Friends of Group in the delivery of the project. Encourage a wide range of interest groups to get involved in the delivery of the projects.
Organise regular volunteer days for individuals to get involved.
Work with the Local Authority to designate the site as a Local Nature Reserve. Raise awareness that the site is a Local Nature Reserve
