Haulfre Woods

The project addresses D & DA from the object specific list.

Project will enhance and increase biodiversity as well as public access. In particular the removal of Sycamore from the woodland area will allow much needed natural regeneration to establish.
– removal of invasive species and control
– woodland management – thinning/respacing /coppicing
– tidy up of windblow
– removal of scrub woodland to re-establish limestone grassland and original woodland edge
– footpath upgrade
– enrichment planting of understory and overstory native species in areas where invasives have been cleared. Utilise the no fence planting method of sabre trees in suitable areas
