Hayling Skatepark, Hayling Island – Concrete Skatepark Creation (007459)

The project will create a new concrete skatepark. The current skatepark on Hayling has deteriorated beyond economical repair due to its age, construction and proximity to the sea, which has resulted in it’s part removal. What remains is barely functional and usage levels have declined significantly as a direct result. The skatepark is 20 years old and relied upon by hundreds of young people as their primary recreation and social hub. It contributes to higher physical activity and mental wellbeing, as well as providing opportunities for volunteering.
