Healthy Hearts and Minds

The hut is predominately used by all sections of 30th Abingdon Scout Group but also been used by a number of other others including Rainbow, Brownies, Toddler Group, Princes Trust and Macular Society. It is anticipated that the new facilities will assist in accommodating more groups in addition to providing enhanced conditions which will enable more useful use of the accommodation.

Research of existing facilities , the nearest similar facility being 6th Abingdon ( Trinity ) Scout Group , Trinity Church Hall , Conduit Road , Abingdon ,and feasibility studies established that the most appropriate solution was the replacement of the existing huts with suitable modern robust accommodation which could satisfy the needs of the local community.
