Heating System Replacement Project

The Everyman Theatre’s main heating system (7 boilers) are now over 22 years old. They need replacing as a matter of priority as the lack of a control system makes the boiler inefficient, expensive to run and environmentally wasteful. We replaced the control system this year (Trusts and our own funds). As far as the boilers are concerned, parts are expensive to replace and difficult to find. A recently commissioned report by consultants concluded that the boilers need to be replaced within the short term, with a much more efficient and energy saving system, with the ability to control areas of the building as required. We aim to do this in the summer of next year when the impact of replacing the system will be least felt by the public.
