Hedgerows – ‘great for biodiversity and landscape’

One and a half miles of species-rich hedgerow (biodiversity corridor) to be planted adjacent to existing lowland hay meadow for the benefit of target Biodiversity action plan species and landscape features in their own right. The new hedgerows to compliment the existing hedgerows and habitats created at Watchtree (all BAP habitats) thus helping to conserve and create habitat for additional wildlife in the north Cumbria area.
