Heeley Parish Church, Sheffield – Refurbishment (50163/D/TP)

The project aim is to refurbish the building. It is currently open 6 days of the week for various activities attended by the local community. Both the kitchen and toilets are in a very bad dilapidated state of repair and are very small, therefore in need of refurbishment. The community would benefit from having new toilets providing much needed disabled access as well as baby changing facilities, which are not currently available. Provision of the new toilets will mean using some of the space currently housing the kitchen; therefore a new kitchen will be required. As the new kitchen will encroach on the current hall space, it is planned to remove a storage cupboard in the hall in order to regain some of the space lost. Following the work both the entrance and hall will require redecoration/new carpets. The Trust grant will contribute towards the refurbishment.
