Heiton Public Hall

The hall (a 200 year-old stone building, gifted to the community, that was adapted in the 1950s) will be renovated and altered to make it suitable for current user groups. This work will counteract a potential social divide that could result from the tripling in size of the village to approximately 650 people.

A new extension will provide a modern kitchen, toilets and a meeting room – all of which will be fully accessible. To reduce energy costs and improve users comfort, an energy efficient heating system will be installed along with suspended ceiling, double glazing and insulation.
