Helix Wetland Reserve

1. The Helix Wetland Reserve project will transform a neglected pond and wetland area into a public amenity to be used for both educational and recreational purposes. The project will concentrate on improving the accessibility of the wetland as it is highly inaccessible in its current state, as well as environmental improvements to develop biodiversity which will be delivered through a sister project. We are specifically seeking LCF monies towards the cost of the new DDA compliant path and boardwalk which will run through the wetland with the ponds on either side, thus opening up access to the amenity for the general public, and also the provision of some interpretation
