Hereford Skatepark, Hereford – Floodlights (40211/D)

The project aim is to introduce full park lighting to the skatepark to increase its useable availability. The construction of the Coaching Clubhouse will bring in mains services to the site thereby making it possible to provide park lighting. Currently estimates are around 12,500 visits by users/annum. With lighting this should increase by approx. 35%. It will be a particular benefit to older users of the skatepark who work during the weekdays, especially in the winter months. The high standard of the construction of the skatepark has encouraged many older users, who were more regular wheeled sports participants when they were younger to re-engage with their sport.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the floodlights.
