Heritage Quest Project – Resource Room

Project aims to give better access to collections which are not on display to the public at Saffron Walden Museum. A new building – the Heritage Quest Centre will house objects which tell a story of the history, archaeology, geology and wildlife of Uttlesford. A multi- purpose Resource Room will be constructed in the centre to facilitate life – long learning through the use of museum objects. It will provide the space and facilities for education visits, family holiday activities and visits by people researching the collections. It will be a venue in which to deliver museum lectures, workshops, evening classes and to start guided tours. Community groups like the Uttlesford Local History Recorders can also use the Resource Room.
