Heritage Transport Link

A narrow gauge railway to link Astley Green Colliery Museum with a canal, a country park, a proposed marina, and a car park for a park and ride facility. The project provides access to these amenities particularly for less able visitors, gives access to the museum from a park and ride facility thereby reducing traffic through the narrow village street, and allows the museum collection of mining rolling stock to be displayed in operation. The project is based on derelict land from the former Astley Green Colliery.
