Hexham Community Centre – Fit for the Future

Hexham Community Centre is an extremely well used building with a footfall of over 500 people per week. At 110 years old, however, many areas need immediate attention if they are to attract more users and ensure that the Community Centre is viable. The Youth Centre, Playgroup and front facade of the Community Centre need attention as well as the roof if the building is to attract future users. A group of young volunteers and myself have decided to see if we can make a real difference and help to renovate and refresh the Centre. We also hope to be able to raise the profile of the Youth Centre and show the elderly users of the building that young people can make a positive contribution to the community
