Hexham Community Centre – Sustainable Future

The proposal is for 2 new, more efficient condensing gas boilers, window replacements and lift refurbishments. The current boilers are now 16 years old and are constantly breaking down. One is un-repairable and both need to be replaced as soon as possible. The Energy Audit revealed the very poor condition of the large single-glazed windows at the front (south) and west side of the building and highlighted the deteriorating state of the wooden frames.An annual inspection on the lift has brought up a need for the carriage to be brought up to current British Standards.
