Heysham Nature Reserve Volunteering Project

The aim of the project is to promote volunteering opportunities at the reserve by involving volunteers in carrying out practical works to enhance both the educational and physical aspects of the site Through the refurbishment of the study centre we hope to expand our existing volunteer base by offering a varied programme of conservation skills training, environmental education events, working parties for reserves management. The volunteers will be supported by North Lancs reserve manager and community officer (part funded by Heritage Lottery). The opportunity to volunteer will be widely promoted in the Heysham, Morecambe and Lancaster area.
