High Hazels Park

Creation of circular walk within High Hazels Park to make it accessible to residents, visitors and disabled people. The trail will also involve interpretation panels that will educate and offer new skills to the users. In addition, the footpath will help to prevent erosion and protect new tree planting by providing a formal pathway. The main aims of the project are: enhance to park and make it more accessible for visitors, give local people the opportunity to learn new skills through the development of art and interpretation along the walk, improve peoples enjoyment of the park and encourage longer visits, develop the links with the Trans Pennine Trail, increase the numbers of visitors to the park, protect the environment through decreasing erosion and protecting new tree planting by providing a formal pathway
