High Hide for Clifton Pond

This project will install a 'High Hide' for visitors to gain a unique view of wildlife at a newly created habitat site suitable for supporting populations of species such as wading birds, kingfishers and the nationally important Great Crested Grebe. Recent studies have shown that exposure to ‘green space’ has an independent beneficial effect on health; the ‘High Hide’ will allow visitors to observe wildlife populations in their natural habitat without causing disturbance. Visitors and the local community will also benefit by the production of a new information booklet about the site and installation of an interpretation sign.
