Hill End Centenary Habitat Explorer Trail

Hill End is a long-established outdoor education centre covering 67 acres (21 hectares) of grassland, meadow and woods. It has been providing a diverse range of outdoor activities and facilities to schools and organised groups since the 1920s. The “Centenary Habitat Explorer Trail” will restore and enhance the rich diversity of habitats found at Hill End, and allow visitors to better understand and value these natural environments. The project will create a new and exciting nature trail around Hill End with seven distinct zones that can be enjoyed by school groups or as self-guided walks by families and other visitors. Extending the trail across the whole of the site will allow the centre to increase the number of visitors on any one day and for more months of the year.
