Hilton Woods: Access and Management Improvements

The project at Hilton Woods is part of the woods in and around towns (WIAT) funded by the Forestry Commission (Scotland) and Aberdeen City Council. The WIAT project will revitalise woods in Aberdeen City by improving the quality of life for local residents through improving the site and briefed meetings of the Hilton Neighbourhood Planning Network which has been very supportive of the project.
Hilton Woods is a 2.4 hectare woodland in the Hilton district of Aberdeen, an area with very little quality greenspace.
The project includes signage, 1000 metres of path including the creation of new steps and a forest classroom. Landfill Community Funds will pay for the installation of the steps.
