Holliday Park Play Area, Langely Moor

Two years ago a masterplan for Holliday Park was developed, based on several consultation exercises. This masterplan highlighted the need for improvements to several elements of the park, including the play area.
During the final consultation stages with the local primary schools, a number of the children identified 2 pieces of equipment which they had seen or used on other sites and which they would have liked to have seen included in the design. Funding had not been secured for these or for a wheelchair accessible picnic table, which is needed to make the play area full inclusive. We then became aware of the possibility of applying for SITA Trust funding which meant we could potentially include the extra pieces of equipment.
