Hollingdean Community Centre, Brighton- Kitchen Refurbishment

The project aims to increase understanding around food and nutrition and increase access to affordable food and social networks in the community of Hollingdean. Hollingdean has social housing areas in the highest 10% on the indices of multiple deprivation, with notably high child poverty.
Hollingdean community Centre is a light and airy space that is popular with a diverse range of users and is always busy. This project will offer a fit for purpose kitchen facility in an already busy and popular community centre, that can be used for supporting local catering social enterprises, providing meal clubs and community cafes as well as a learning space for food preparation, hygiene and cookery classes.
