Projects / Hollington Village Hall - New Floor

Hollington Village Hall - New Floor

The Hall opened in 1924 just after the 1st world war as a meeting place for locals and is built on the site of an old quarry. Before covid the village hall had lacked investment and was little used. However, during covid a new committee was formed and with the help of business support grants, and funding from the district council the village hall underwent a refurbishment and is supporting many groups and events including yoga, table tennis, bingo, loneliness club, polling station, birthday parties, coffee mornings raising money for charities and special events including diamond jubilee and kings coronation.

This project is to replace the floor which is unstable and poor in appearance. The existing floor will be removed, replaced with a concrete base and finished with vinyl planks and new skirting. The new floor will be well insulated resulting in less heat loss.
