Hollinwood – Protecting our Woodland Inheritance

Hollinwood lies half a mile south- west of the village of Calverton, north of Nottingham and was designed and planted in partnership with local people to celebrate the Millennium.
We intend to re-route the paths linking two mature oaks (which are two to three hundred years old ) and the sycamore tree, improve visitor access to the wood. Extend the mowing regime for the meadow and adjoining rides and glades. Thinning of the saplings near the woods bench. Maximise and vary the woodland edge habitat, particularly along the open meadow area and west of Waterworks Cottage where scrub planting has been concentrated.
