Holroyd Smith - Electrifying the Future

Create an exhibition that will explore the life, inspiration and motivation behind the works of Michael Holroyd Smith and to inspire the next generation with his imaginative and persistent approach to problem-solving. 1. To tell the story of the life, inspiration and achievements of Michael Holroyd Smith and improve public awareness of his contributions to the engineering world 2. To inspire our audiences to take further interest in engineering, science and mathematics 3. To facilitate engagement with currently underused areas of the museum’s collections 4. To have in place permanent interpretation which engages children and young people in the above 5. To improve the museum’s offer to visitors and encourage visitors to spend more time in the Main Exhibition Hall.
