Holy Innocents, Highnam Church Improvement Project

Holy Innocents, Highnam is a stunning, listed grade 1 church built between 1849-1851 for Gambier Parry, owner of Highnam Court. The whole interior is decorated with spirit frescos designed and painted by Parry. The church has poor disabled access and lacks services. The project aims to carefully integrate disabled access, toilets and create a server area beneath the tower, as well as clearing excessively dense pewing to provide a more flexible space to assist the development and promotion of the church for much wider community and cultural use, to secure the future of this asset into the foreseeable future. the development of this project has been subject to extensive pre-consent consultation.
