Hook Miners’ Children’s Playground – New Fencing

The aim of the project is to replace the existing wooden fencing which was erected 24 years ago, with a more weather resistant, colourful fencing which will be a safe environment for children and will provide secure safe boundaries. It will also enable parents to socialise in a more secure setting.

The existing fencing is rotting in places and will soon be a safety hazard and it is also below the recommended height for playground fencing. The entrance to the playground will also be widened to allow access for double buggies, wheelchairs and the like. The wider entrance will make it easier to upgrade the play equipment at a later date. Self closing gates will ensure that dogs do not enter the playground.
