Horam Village Hall, East Sussex- Heating improvement

This project is essential refurbishment to Horam Village Hall’s interior, to better meet the needs of the users. The hall serves Horam village and neighbouring settlements throughout Horam Parish total pop. 2,642. (Census 2011). Through meetings, questionnaires and polls, our user-groups, the wider community and potential private hirers identified improvements that would provide a more welcoming and accessible environment. The hall is the sole community venue, managed by volunteers and has served the parish since 1993 when it was rebuilt. One of the most important issues for improvement is the hall’s old, inefficient heating. Improved warmth and comfort is especially important to our very young users, elderly residents and hirers. With support from LCF it is aim to install a new energy efficient system that will improve the hall’s sustainability, reduce running costs, and keep it affordable for current users, new users and future generations.
