Horncastle – Banovallum Carr Woodland Extension

Bringing the Woods closer to Horncastle.

The existing woods at Banovallum Carr have been open for five years and already the woodland is flourishing with the trees well over head height and the paths and rides used by local people. The applicant now has an opportunity to extend the woods by 3.84 hectares [ 9.5 acres ] of land between the southwest edge of Horncastle and Banovallum Carr. Buying this land will almost double the size of the existing wood, and will open up land that currently has no public access, giving the people of Horncastle and the surrounding area more opportunity to enjoy the woodland habitat.

The applicant will open the land and make it freely accessible to the public at all times for quiet informal recreation.
