Hornsea Promenade Bowls Club "Levelling Project"

The project will start to level the bowling green which is situation adjacent to the sea at Hornsea and as a result it suffers from damage caused by too much salt and wind blown sand. The green has humps and hollows created by this movement of sand which can affect the quality of bowling. The preferred contractor has purchased specialist equipment (Koro FTM) which will help smooth out the green. At the end of the season extreme scarification will disperse the top half inch of the green, which will then be heavily top dressed and reseeded resulting in a much smoother surface the following year.
