Horse Simulator Classroom, Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled, Henbury, Bristol

Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled is an independent registered Charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities through the provision of horse and pony riding. The Centre has recently been donated a modern horse simulator. ICET’s grant will contribute towards the refurbishment of a room which will house the simulator and become a classroom to enable users to have lessons on the simulator if they have no experience of riding a horse, or if they are particularly nervous. It will also enable existing riders to obtain more vital exercise in addition to their normal lessons, and will enable the centre to reduce its lengthy waiting list.
