Horsley Play Project Environmental Improvement Scheme

Our project will improve the setting of the existing play area and woodland, creating a new social hub in Horsley for everyone in the village. The site floods seasonally meaning access is poor for half the year we will improve drainage by incorporating a dipping pond and planted swale, increasing biodiversity and habitat in the process. Creating outdoor learning opportunities for the pre and primary school children we also want to extend the appeal of getting outdoors to an older group of children as well as creating an attractive place for the residents of Horsley to celebrate their village.
