Hunslet Green Community Sports Club – Pitch Renovation

Hunslet Green Community Sports Club has been in existence for around 15 years and is located at The Oval in Hunslet. The Club has a football pitch, junior rugby pitch and main rugby pitch for the four football teams and twelve rugby league teams who play their home games there. The pitches were laid in 1994 and have suffered from severe compaction due to the amount of use since then. The surface has also deteriorated through erosion, the growth of weeds and has become unsafe through the appearance of ruts and divots which get waterlogged in wet weather.

The main rugby pitch was renovated in June 2010 and the same work is now required for the junior and football pitches along with twelve months maintenance for all three pitches.
